Peach milkshake with soymilk

Every summer we go out to Stonewall, Texas to buy peaches. The peaches are picked in the morning so you know they are fresh. They are very fuzzy, unwashed that is.  They are so much better than the peaches you buy at the grocery store. I personally am of the opinion that a peach, like a tomato, is best ripened without having ever gone into refrigeration. The Lorings are my favorite, but any kind  that grow near Fredericksburg are my 2nd favorite.

  • 2 ripe peaches-smell them to be sure
  • 2 tsp sugar-optional
  • 8 oz soymilk-unsweetened
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  1. Put all ingredients in blender
  2. Blend until ice is gone, about 1 minute.
  3. Poor into a glass and enjoy.
